Gathering no moss

So they keep putting me on my tummy, it's getting quite annoying cause I know my toys are hanging just above my head! Sure, they dangle some little knick-knack out there for me but it's just too much effort. So on Monday I thought I'd turn the tables. A little push with my right hand and a generous helping of gravity on my off-balance head and I rolled right back over!
Dad seemed to think this was great, but put me on my tummy again so I can't figure him out. Anyway, this morning I thought enough is enough and every time they rolled me on my tummy I went right back! Three times until they gave up (I may have cried a little, but only to let them know that this was cruel and unusual treatment).
They finally seemed satisfied with this so I spent the rest of my morning play-time with duck and lion and the weird singing flower who just hang there nicely and don't bother me too much.
Me after rolling over. Can't a guy just lie back and check out his toys?

3 months!

Well, I'm old! I can't believe I've been living with these guys out in this cold world for three months!  It's been pretty great, though overwhelming at times. There are a lot of people that give me great kisses and comfy hugs so it's pretty sweet. Mom and Dad have been taking my picture each month so we can see how I'm growing! I won't be able to wear that same onesie next month I don't think!
Month 1, Month 2, Month 3!! Impressive, eh??

Here are a few more from my third month photo shoot. Apparently, I look super cute so mom wanted me to post them...
Dad was being silly!
Zebra man was taking up too much room!!
I was momentarily distracted during this one...

My nursery

Since I spend so much time in here (11 hours last night sleeping in my crib!) I thought I'd show you around. It's a pretty nice place. My parents sure spent longer and thought harder about this room than any other!

Here's my crib! It wasn't until after my parents decided they liked it that they discovered it's made out of New Zealand pine!! And see that tree? My dad made it. I bet my dad paints better than your dad!
If you move to the right a bit you see my book shelf. It's the home to some of my books and my toys and some of my cuddly blankies!
Keep on moving clockwise around the room and you come to this corner! You'll recognize my zebra friend from my monthly photos. He poses with me.
My closet is a big mirror so don't be confused by the reflection. I love those photos on the right. They are pictures of mommies and their babies!
Hey there's me! I told mom to take my picture in a place I seem to be a lot. I like this spot, I always feel so good after I leave it! Those are the nice diapers on the shelf above me (a lot of them are being washed). They are cloth and so comfy...it's like I'm going to the bathroom on a cloud!
I also spend a lot of time here! This is where I am fed and also where daddy reads me stories before bedtime. It's a nice place.

Well there you have it! My room! I hope you liked it...and please stop by anytime!

A few of my firsts

I was born on 9/4/12 but had to stay in the NICU for 12 days. What a happy day it was to come home!
My first night. Mom hates this photo but it's our first family photo so it should be remembered!
Finally home!

Apparently I was a noisy sleeper. I snore, I moan, and groan!  My parents couldn't take it anymore so they kicked me out of their room and put me in my bed the night before I turned one month old!  I was still only going three hours between feedings but at least my parents began to get some sleep.

I had my two month check up on --- . I had to get four shots!  That was my loudest cry yet!  Dad was just as sad as I was.  That's when we found out I was gaining weight and growing but still in such a low percentile!  I was in the 2.6 percentile for weight and 0.0 percentile for height!  I guess there's no one else as short as me!

The week before my two month check up I began to smile.  My parents couldn't tell if it was gas or if I was genuinely happy!  I gave dad the most smiles...he's just always talking to me and I can tell my smiles make him sooo happy!  Now, I pretty much smile all the time!  Especially right after I'm fed!!
Dad was trying so hard to get me to smile...he thought I was about to...but it turned into a sneeze!! This photo makes mom and dad laugh so hard!
This is my happiest photo yet!!

The night of Hurricane Sandy I made it 6 hours between feedings!  Boy were my parents happy AND nervous.  I woke up to my mom poking me making sure I was still alive....and yes, I was!

On Nov 5 we had our friends Jen and Tom come visit from New Zealand. That was so fun but they wore me out!  I was so tired and cried and screamed all evening until I was finally put to bed...and then guess what??? I slept 7 hours!! Apparently Dad slept great, too.  Mom struggled a bit and was awake for a couple hours waiting for me to wake up.  She'll get the hang of it, though!

On Nov 6, late at night I finally got to meet my Kiwi Grandparents! They were so much fun and played with me all day every day they were here.  They really got me on a great sleeping schedule and since their visit I've been sleeping 7-9.5 hours each night!! Now my mom and dad can pretty much rely on me sleeping from 9pm until 6am. Lucky parents! I'm just too good to them!

LAST NIGHT on November 28, I slept 10 hours!
